313. Newspaper Star-Collage

Actually, I had wanted to make a papier-mâché star - one of the very old ideas. I had collected lot of newspapers over the past weeks for this purpose. But then it seemd so much effort... For now, I used some of the newspaper to just cut out some star shapes and rearrange them in a most simple collage:

259. Travel Collage Star

Our trip is over and I used bits of the remaining tickets, brochures and the likes for a little collage:

209. Music Monday #7

Yay, another Music Monday! I'm so glad I'm back at some place where I have lots of different materials at hand and can just start creating. :) So here is something I've had in mind for weeks now.

Not long ago I discovered a German song which carries stars in the title. This is how I picture it:

"Am Rande der Welt fällt Gold von den Sternen."
(At the edge of the world there's gold falling from the stars.)

Since it seems to be a rather unknown song, I'm going to give it away:

"Gold von den Sternen" (Gold from the Stars) from the musical "Mozart" - but the music of the song has nothing to with Mozart as far as I can tell...

I used soft pastels for the water, glued little golden stars to the sky and dripped a bit of golden glitter beneath some. The effect of the flash for the photo made it just what I had imagined it should look like! :)

100. 100 Star Pictures

Well, what can I say... I've made it to day number o n e   h u n d r e d !

Ever since I began making stars, I also took pictures of all kinds of stars I simply found in all kinds of places. A few weeks ago, I wondered whether I might make it 100 photos until my 100th day of the project. And, yes, I did. So, here are 100 pictures of 100 stars from all over Germany, discovered while walking through streets, spending time with friends, browsing shops, tidying up, and staring at my cup of tea:

The only condition was that none of them should be connected to a star I had made myself for this project. It was a real challenge to put them all together - and not die of boredom in the meantime... (I do admit that I already began yesterday, assuming (correctly) that it might take a while to do this.) Surprisingly, I had no problems with the size - it all just fit.^^

P.S.: Only 40 of those stars are actually Christmas related. ;)

P.P.S.: I added a new page with my favourites (-> 'My High Lights') as even I start losing track of what I've made so far...^^
