244. Rubik's Cube Star
Wow! I did! it! I solved it! Twice already! AND I figured out how to make a star appear on one side:
As the little nerd in disguise that I am, I knew I wouldn't be able to resist this challenge forever... So, today is the day I finally sat down and learned how to solve Rubik's Cube. No, I did NOT figure it out myself! I followed instructions - but I'm so close to not needing them anymore... ;)
To celebrate the occasion, I wanted to dedicate a star to this wonderful little puzzle - well, it's a bit of a stretch, but one can interpret the above picture as "white star against blue sky".^^

238. Daisy Chain Star
I spent a lovely free day with friends in the park having barbecue, fairy tales, music, juggling, and generally loads of fun. That was where I made this daisy chain and tried to arrange it in shape of a star (on the back of my guitar):
I should have made it longer, I suppose, but the sun was too hot for such labourious work... ;)

104. More Biscuits
I have just returned from a wonderful weekend with my sister and we spent a large protion of today baking - this time the very original traditional and simple Christmas biscuits made of shortcrust pastry we used to make as children. Here's a part of the result - not yet decorated as I had to catch my train:

102. Origami Star Box
A short one today as I was running out of time after several other failed attempts...: a quite simple origami box in the shape of a four-pointed star.
It's nice to be decorate with some fir branches and a candle, or it could be used for little Christmas presents, biscuits, choclates and the like.
I couldn't make it all from memory so I used this very easy to follow instructions on youtube.

96. Origami Stars
I made some origami stars yesterday. But when I got home last night I fell into a fit of coughing that would last for about an hour with only minor interruptions. So, trying to take pictures of them and posting them was somehow not important to me. Here they are now:
P.S.: Today's star needs some daylight for a proper picture, so that's gonna come tomorrow.

20. Stars on Canvas
Today, I decided to grab some paint and canvas, go outside into our garden and just start painting. That is something I don't usually do, since my perfectionism is particularly disturbing when it comes to painting on canvas: I'm hardly ever satisfied. This time, however, I desided not to care. The sun was shining, the air was unusually fresh and I felt lighthearted enough to try. I suppose the green all around me inspired me somewhat since it's not a typical colour for me to choose. But I really didn't think much about the whole thing until it was finished. By then, I felt rather comfortable with it.
In the flowers on the gras...
In the flying drops of rain...
In the roaring fire's sparks...
In the velvet sky of night...
...there are Stars.
P.S.: Taking a proper picture was well-nigh impossible... The colours simply wouldn't show. I had to strengthen them a little on the computer and it still looks nothing like the real thing. I'll try again tomorrow when there's still sunlight in the garden, maybe that'll help.
